Ok, I give up. Let's just make this "baby week" on See of Love. You've got to see this video. My mom is an identical twin and I sure hope she was this hilarious when she was little.

I don't know went wrong this winter, but March is certainly not going to end quietly in my neck of the woods, and I would not use the phrase "out like a lamb" to describe the weather we've been having lately.  Luckily, I am headed to Richmond this weekend to visit family, including my brand new baby cousin!

The Friday Find

Everyone has their own opinion on buying plane tickets: You should use Kayak, or Orbitz, or Expedia; you should buy your tickets on Tuesdays or Wednesdays because that's when it's cheapest. You should take a Friday or a Monday off of work so that you don't get hit with high weekend flight prices.

Well, damn it, that takes a lot of effort.

Low-budget fliers, there is a better way: yapta.com. I only learned about this site yesterday from my friend Lisa. And it is AWESOME. They will track your flight and alert you when the price drops, so that you can get it for less. And if you bought the ticket when it was a little pricey, and the price later drops, they'll start the process for you to get a refund! Seriously! How cool?

Easy Pulled Pork

Just popping in to say a quick "hi" and share some yumminess with you.  My sister recommended this recipe to me the other day and I wasted no time making it; I think I may still have been on the phone with her as I pulled up to the meat counter at Whole Foods.  I have always loved pulled pork but had prematurely labeled it as one of those foods that was too much hassel to make myself.  As you may have guessed, I was wrong about that one and found that this recipe is actually one of the biggest no-brainers around.  All you need is a dutch oven, a large cut of pork shoulder, and a free afternoon.  Enjoy!

New blog alert!

When it comes to food blogs, I have three go-to sites: diary of a locavore (my sis!), smitten kitchen, and orangette.  Between the three of them, I can always find something to make for dinner if my creativity is lacking or I'm in a food rut.  While perusing orangette for culinary inspiration yesterday, I happened upon I made that!, a food blog written by the dessert chef at Delancey (orangette's restaurant).  I may be behind the eight ball on this one, but it was entirely new to me and I spent a very long time drooling over it.  By the time I closed my computer, in fact, I was very hungry for some potstickers and a slice of key lime pie.

Fine print: Snacking before browsing is suggested as you will inevitably be very hungry once you start.  Note that many of the recipes are more time intensive than on other food blogs and might be best saved for a dinner party or a best friend's birthday.  Still...they look totally worth it. 

Dupont Circle Farmers' Market

Every Sunday I look forward to taking a long walk to the farmers' market. In the winter, it was still a nice ritual, but the selection was meager: Some breads and cheeses, meats and jams. But these past few days of warm weather have already made the market a little brighter.
